Included here are examples of agates that I feel are a pretty good variety of materials that can be collected from Mexico. All of the pieces in this section I have either bought, sold, traded for, or received as gifts from friends. Specimens that are unpolished are shown wet to better show their colors.
New pictures will be added in no particular order. Hopefully, as the gallery grows, all you crazy agate lovers out there will find my collection as interesting and beautiful as I do. Periodically I will include pieces that aren’t agate or jasper, but are noteworthy enough in their own way to be included here.

Mexico, Unolished Slab
4 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ x 1/4″ Awesome big slab of sagenite sprays.
Mexico, Face Cut Rough
3″ x 1 1/2″ x 2 1/4″ This is a pretty piece of Icicle Lace filled with small dogtooth, banfded, and eye patterns.
Mexico, Unpolished Slab
4 1/8″ x 3″ x 3/16″ An incredibly beautiful slab with large white sagenite needles in a background of translucent pale grey/blue agate.

2 1/4″ x 1 1/8″ x 3/4″ This is an awesome, small sagenite nodule that includes lavender sagenite needles and other inclusions.

3 7/8″ x 2 5/8″ x 3/4″ A nice piece of purple fortification agate surrounded by sprays of golden orange and white sagenite.

3″ x 2 1/4″ x 1 1/2″ Cool black dendrites in white/pale blue agate. I probably collected this 25 years ago so I have no idea what the status of this area is now.
