Patti Polk's Collection Liquidation
Welcome to my collection liquidation page. I have come to a point in my life where it has become necessary for me to let go of all but my most precious pieces. It is a sad and painful process but I need to do it now so others won’t be burdened with it later after I’m gone.
I have been very lucky to spend so many years of my life out field collecting in some of the very best locations the southwest has to offer, and many of them I discovered myself while out hiking and roaming the Earth for hours, days, and weeks at a time. Many of these locations are now played out from years of rockhounds finding them and picking them clean. Most of the pieces I have to sell were collected back in the day when you could still find great material on the surface or with minimal digging. These trips out in the southwest deserts and mountains have been some of the very best experiences of my life and I treasure them, just as I treasure the beautiful rocks I collected on those adventures.
I will also be offering pieces that I bought in years past, or pieces that I traded or received as gifts from friends and fellow collectors. I have a large variety of slabs, polished specimens, minerals, and rough. Some are quite rare, and many are very uncommon due to the rarity of their location. Some of the pieces I am selling are featured in my three best-selling gem and mineral collecting books, and they will be noted when they are.
I will be posting groupings of different small batches of items here with several views of each group, and also individual specimens.
Measurements are included at their widest points and descriptions are as accurate as possible, barring any unseen hidden defects. Pieces will be numbered accordingly. If you are interested in purchasing pieces you can contact me with the item numbers on the CONTACT page and I will get back to you with pricing information. If you buy a quantity of pieces I will give you a bundle discount.
Thank you for looking and I hope you appreciate these pieces as much as I have.
